The Oji Group clearly states in the Group Environmental Action Program that it will maintain and manage the multi-faceted functions of forests through biodiversity conservation* and other initiatives.
*Biodiversity conservation refers to activities under the Biodiversity-Conscious Forest Practice Policy (established in 2003), including well-planned forest practices, designation of environmental protection forests, restoration of natural forests, protection and nurturing of rare species of animals and endangered species, and ecosystem surveys.
- 100% acquisition of forest certifications that cover the concept of biodiversity conservation
(Environmental Action Program formulated in 2015, in which 2020 is set as the target year)
- Continuing to take well-planned initiatives, including ecosystem surveys for reducing the impact on biodiversity, protection and nurturing of endangered species and rare species of plants and animals, restoration of depleted natural forests, and designation of environmental protection forests
