Looking at the circumstances surrounding our company, domestic consumption is stagnating due to declining birth rates and the aging of society, and globalization is occurring rapidly due to the ongoing advance of ICT. In order for the Oji Group to continue growing, we are working as one to undertake management reform, under the management strategies of Expansion of Overseas Businesses, Concentration/Advancement of Domestic Businesses, and Enhancement of Financial Foundation. The driving force for advancing these management strategies is human resources. We are undertaking working style reforms and promotion of diversity under the motto “A Company’s Strength Originates from Human Resources.”
Working style reforms in particular are extremely important. We aim to connect these to the improvement of productivity and creation of innovative values through reformed awareness in individuals and in organizations. Human resources with diverse values, capabilities, and experiences cannot actively participate under the uniform, rigid working styles of the past. While working styles that assume long hours of labor are gradually being rectified around the world, the Oji Group is going further, placing importance on shifting to working styles with productivity in mind.
To use diverse values and ideas in business development, it is important that we accept diversity and recognize the good in each other through promotion of diversity. Toward that end, we will acquire diversity of values and flexibility of thought, and will create an environment in which diverse individuals can make the most of their capabilities and actively participate. The Oji Group has always had a corporate culture and climate that merges diverse values.
