Promoting the active participation of women

Oji Group promotes the active participation of women as a priority issue. We are undertaking initiatives that include career development for women in the generalist track and practical training support at worksites.

Our target for the percentage of women in management-level positions, an indicator for the promotion of active participation of women, and our current status are shown below (as of the end of March for each year).

  Announcement of being designated as an FY2017 “Nadeshiko Brand”
In March 2018, Oji Holdings and Oji Management Office were designated as “Nadeshiko Brand” for the first time, which is jointly administered by the Ministry of Economy , Trade and Industry and the Tokyo Stock Excange.

  Announcement of Obtaining “Eruboshi (highest level)”  Certification
  Based on the Act on Promotion of Women’s Participation and
  Advancement in the Workplace.
In December 2017, Oji Holdings Corporation(Oji) was granted "Eruboshi (Grade 3)" company certification by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare in recognition for its efforts in promoting women’s participation and career advancement.

  Oji Selected as Component of MSCI WIN Index
In December 2017, Oji Holdings was selected as a component of the MSCI Japan Empowering Women Index (WIN), an ESG index which evaluates Japanese companies' efforts to promote gender diversity.

Promoting recruitment of disabled persons

Oji Group established a special subsidiary in 2007 to promote the recruitment of disabled persons. Employees perform management and cleaning of common areas in the Head Office Building. They also perform product finishing and inspection, corrugated container assembly, administrative work, and various other tasks at Oji Group mills. The Group formulated a Three-Year Disabled Persons Employment Plan in FY2018 to promote the recruitment of disabled persons throughout the Group. The Group will continue working to expand employment opportunities for persons with disabilities in an effort to contribute to society.
