The Oji Group produces many different types of pulp, including hardwood and softwood kraft pulp and dissolving pulp. With an annual market pulp production capacity of 2.5 million tons, we sell our products globally, including in Asia, Europe and North America.

kraft pulp (KP)

Hardwood and softwood kraft pulp (KP) is produced by digesting woodchips using a chemical solution, extracting fibers and loosening them. It is used mainly as a papermaking material.

Dissolving pulp (DP)

Dissolving pulp (DP) is produced by removing the maximum possible amount of hemicellulose and lignin from wood. This pulp features a higher whiteness and cellulose purity than kraft pulp. DP is used in a wide range of fields because it can be processed differently for various applications (including textile, medical care, food and liquid crystal applications).

Bleached chemi-thermo mechanical pulp (BCTMP)

Bleached chemi-thermo mechanical pulp (BCTMP) is produced by grinding woodchip under high temperature conditions and bleaching them. Featuring high strength, BCTMP is used mainly for paperboard and base paper for paper cups.
