Oji Holdings Corporation (President: Hiroyuki Isono, Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo) announces that the Bourbon “Luxury Lumonde Ethiopian Mocha”, jointly exhibited with Bourbon Corporation (President: Masayoshi Yoshida, Head Office: Kashiwazaki City, Niigata Prefecture) and Think Laboratory Co., Ltd. (President: Kaku Shigeta, Head Office: Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture), received the Confectionery Packaging Award at the Japan Packaging Contest 2025(※1).

The awarded new packaging adopts water-based digital inkjet printing technology by Think Laboratory. Compared with conventional oil-based gravure printing, it reduces CO2 emissions and improves working environments and the health of workers through the elimination of VOCs (volatile organic compounds).

Since October 2022, the “Luxury Lumonde” series has been switched to paper-based packaging. This packaging reduces plastic usage by more than 60% compared with the conventional packaging while maintaining both functionality and design appeal.
